Do you FLY?

Today was a day of puttering about -- unpacking, getting messes dealt with, laundry, going through stacks of mail -- the "chores" of home-coming. I'm not sure how many of you know about FLYLADY...I was a flybaby many years ago and have come to realize I need to rejoin! SO... I'm FLYing again. It's a great site for encouragement for organization & cleaning. And I tell ya, living in an unfinished house has got the best of me and I'm hoping this will in some strange way help me cope! We've been living in/out of boxes between the rental & here for nearly a year and a half and my coping skills are depleted. So I figure if I can look past the drywall dust and plywood floors and see my sink SHINING.... I could still smile :) So you'll hear me chit-chat about that as well... New Year always brings on early onset of Spring Cleaning. Time to rid, chuck & dump! :) Of course this means I need to carry this on into my stamp room. *sigh* What a job! I CAN DO IT THOUGH! I'll post on here some good deals, freebies & other tidbits as I go so keep a peek here and perhaps my "junk" will be your treasure :) I have a few cards to make & a lovely one I want to share with you over the next couple of days, but here's another older one I made. It's bright, quirky & fun... enjoy.

Back at home.

Here are the final two pics of the blocks. We're back at home (I'm not sure I've been away that long before!) so hopefully routines will start setting in and I'll be able to get on here daily again. If you pop by please leave a comment so I know you've been here :) I'm also going to post my FIRST ever blog candy (get with the program, I know! LOL). So that will be coming up in the next week or so. Just need to get unpacked, kids resettled into school, skating lessons, guitar lessons, piano lessons, and of course get some flooring & interior doors on in this house! HAH! What a fun & crazy life!! Resolutions... Hmmm.... need to ponder that one too. Some scrapbook resolutions - card resolutions... did any of you make any? Would love to hear what they are!

A final Merry Christmas

It's Christmas Eve here for our final celebration with my family. Christmas has sure been stretched out this year -- very special for the kids to have a Christmas "morning" with both sets of Grandparents. So it feels strange to say I'm off with my brother this morning to do some final Christmas shopping (gotta love all the sales!) So... a couple final Christmas cards to show you (again from my e-swap)& then tomorrow I'll share with you my final Christmas blocks that I've been waiting to show you. I hope you're new year & final stretch of holiday time is relaxing & enjoyable.

Still away.

I'm still away on holidays, but have a couple photos to share with you :) This postage technique is very fun. A little time consuming, but I sometimes like that -- taking my time with a card & simply enjoying the process. I got a few new goodies for Christmas that I'm itching to play with so once I get home I hope to get some stamping time in :) ! My niece has officially stopped sucking her thumb and is having a party -- so we're off to a "done with my thumb" party! TOO CUTE!
